A free crochet pattern for easy crochet coasters! Made in the round, this modern pattern will have you reaching for your stash to make some in all the colours.
As soon as I put this colour combination together, I knew I had to make some crochet coasters! Zesty oranges, lime and yellow work so well together, don’t they?
These would be perfect for a Summer garden party, and would look stunning adding a bright pop of colour to your kitchen table.
The pattern is easy and suitable for a beginner that is wanting to move on to trying some new stitches. I included a helpful photo tutorial if you need it! Read on below for the Free crochet pattern!

Details for Easy Crochet Coasters
The colours work so well together and give such a cheery vibe. Look at those citrus, zesty circles! They work up quickly, only a few ends to weave in and you are done.
Just select 5 colours that you like, and make a set. They would make great little gifts for Teachers at the end of school term.
Tie a ribbon around the coasters for the finishing touch, or crochet a long chain to use instead….a very pretty finishing touch!
Yarn for Summer Crochet Coasters
I used a cotton DK weight yarn to make my coasters. Cotton yarn can soak up spills and be flung in the washing machine. You could use a worsted weight cotton yarn and make larger crochet motifs, just change up your hook size to match.
The size is approx. 5.75 inches in diameter and worked out perfectly to make a generous table mat for a glass or bowl.
I made some coasters in an alternative colour combination, more muted and modern in greys…….have fun trying out your own colours!

I made a set of four, and will tie them in a ribbon for a gift – they would make a lovely handmade Teachers present for the end of school year. Just choose 5 colours!
