PIN FOR LATER!

How to use Crochet Flowers

Crochet flowers can be used to embellish anything you like! Once you have made one flower, you will soon be creating dozens in your favourite colours. Perfect for wedding favors, party packs, decorating wrapped gifts, or adding to your crochet blankets.

The flowers look so beautiful added as an accent to a baby blanket. You can add a pin to the back of the flower to make a brooch, make a baby’s hair clip or add one to a child’s hat or headband.

What are the Best Crochet Stitches for Flowers?

Most of the flowers included use only basic crochet stitches – single crochet stitch, half double and double crochet stitch.

These flower patterns are super easy and quick to crochet, making them great for gifts, or market prep!

Best Yarn for Crochet Flowers

You can use scraps of DK weight yarn and 4 ply/fingering weight yarn for your flowers, but you can use any yarn weight you wish – just use a matching hook. My favourite yarn for making flowers is a cotton yarn as it washes well, keeps its shape and comes in a huge selection of bright colors. You will only need small amounts of yarn to make your flowers

Each flower crochet pattern will include details for the yarn used for the pattern and the crochet hook size that you require.

Let’s jump into these beautiful crochet flowers!
