Sharing is caring!

Stash to Sparkle is back! Lynne from Knit Crochet Create and I are teaming up again for our free festive blog hop, and this year it starts on Wednesday 28th October 2026. You can find all eight free crochet patterns from last years Stash to Sparkle 2025 blog hop here.

Over four weeks, we will each share four brand new crochet patterns, eight in total, all designed to help you use up your yarn stash. You will find crochet gifts, crochet decorations and little treats for Christmas, made from the odd balls and scraps you already have.

Every pattern will have a FREE PDF download for 48 hours only!

So you do not miss a single one, sign up to my newsletter and I will send you an email on every release day with a direct link to the new pattern and its free PDF.

To hopefully inspire you, I am sharing some pictures of my yarn stash and leftovers. This is my basket of cotton DK weight yarn, collected over the years and always ready for some holiday crochet. It is a good reminder that Christmas makes do not have to be red and green!

Use What Yarn You Have

This year we want you to dig into your yarn basket and be inspired by what you find. Those single balls, half-used skeins and little scraps are perfect. Some of my favorite makes started with a random few balls of yarn, so trust your stash and have fun with it.

This is a drawer in my craft room where some of my little leftover balls end up. Some are only a few yards, but they are perfect for small, colorful projects like crochet Christmas decorations and gift tags. Every time I open it, I find a color combination I had not thought of before!
