I have a Free Pattern for a Christmas Snowflake Pillow to share with you today! You will love crocheting this fun and festive crochet pillow for a welcome gift or adding to your Christmas Holiday Decor.

Details of the Christmas Snowflake Pillow
I used a standard 17″ pillow that I bought in a local store. The lovely textured pillow cover is attached to the ready-made pillow to save time. The snowflake is made separately and sewn on to the front. This is an easy and fast project!
This collection has many more crochet snowflake patterns that you could choose as well.
The crochet pieces were made with Anchor Creativa 8-ply, a sturdy, DK weight cotton yarn. This yarn has been discontinued but you can use any equivalent light-weight (#3) cotton. You can use Yarnsub.com to find yarns with the same weight and similar properties. Red and Cream were my color choices for this pillow. So fresh and festive.

Making the Snowflake Pillow in Any Size
You can make the pillow front to fit any size of pillow. To do this, make a chain that is smaller by about 1 -1.5″ than the size you want, making sure you have an uneven number of chains. For example, if you want to attach your pillow front to a 20″ pillow, make a chain approx.18″ long.
The border rows will add an additional 0.5″ to the piece. I always like to leave a pillow front slightly smaller than the cushion and stretch it on as I attach it.
