Hey there,
I wanted to make this a little more wider. Can you let me know what multiples of foundation chain should I crochet?
The multiple is 4. I always crochet a longer than needed chain and work the 1st row until I reach the size I need….it will save you starting again and you can unpick the spare chains afterwards!
Thank you for your reply. But your foundation chain 37 is not a multiple of 4. Is it multiples of 4 plus 1 chain?
My apologies, I did not see your comment until now. I hope you have it sorted! I may have answered you previously from my phone and without access to the pattern:)
Oh yes. I sorted it out. I guess you saw my post on instagram.
No, I didn’t. But I will have a look. That is great!
In reading the pattern, it appears there is only ONE “block” of Color C. However, the photos appear to show TWO blocks of each of the five colors. Which is correct??
Yes, I think that is an error in the pattern text for the colour combination, good catch! I will correct it now. Thank you for that!
Hello! I love this pattern but I’m a beginner and I’ve only done projects through YouTube tutorials and I’m having trouble understanding the pattern, is there a resource our there to better read this? I looked up shell sticht on YouTube but what they were doing seemed different. Thank you so much in advance!
Sorry for delay! I think if you looked up C2C patterns you may find them more helpful!
I’ve really enjoyed making this scarf. It looks great but I may be missing something in your pattern as I can’t see how to finished the scarf off with a straight edge matching the beginning. I’ve tried to work it out but as a beginner at crochet I can’t make it work. I Would be grateful for some advice please.
Hi Elaine. The ending will not be totally straight as you can see from the pictures. It has a slightly scalloped edge. Don’t worry, it will be fine!
Hi, how much yarn would be needed if I made it all in one color? Thanks
Made this scarf and loved it. How can I make both edges straight so no need for fringe? Can’t wait to try a shawl. Thank you for the beautiful crochet patterns.
Hi. I can’t find anywhere to print the pattern directions. Is this possible?
Aileen
I think you can download a print friendly button that will do that for you:)
