Sharing is caring!

A colorful, festive decoration to add to your holiday decor. Use vibrant folk colours, or traditional Christmas shades to make this bright and cheerful Crochet Festive Star Garland! The star motifs are fun to make and work up quickly – string them together with a crochet chain and hang on a mantle or a wall to add some festive charm!

I used small amounts of Scheepjes Catona, a 4 ply/sportsweight cotton yarn for my Stars but you can use any weight yarn and matching hook. Cotton yarn holds its shape very well and I like the crisp finish it gives to the motifs.

Blocking your motifs is recommended for a polished finish! Block each motif (I use my ironing board) by placing a pin on the tip of each ‘spoke’ and steam with a hot iron. Remove pins when the motifs have cooled down.

I love making New and bright Christmas decorations every year to add to my collection. My family thankfully, also love to receive them and every crocheter really loves when their makes are appreciated. As you all know, I adore using bright colours. Many of you have made my bauble patterns over the years and tell me that it is now their own Christmas tradition. That makes me so happy!
