free crochet pattern cowl

A few months ago, Hobbii.com kindly sent me some of their gorgeous soft Alpaca yarn . The yarn is soft with a lovely halo, and the colours are beautiful. I was going to make a crochet wrap with a chevron design, but after crocheting a few inches, I realised the pattern would make a striking cowl. It is made in one piece, and joined by sewing both sides together to create a circle. The soft hazy yarn meant that the stitches were nearly invisible!
