An easy open lace pattern is used to create this Delicate Crochet Shawl. Perfect for draping as a light evening shawl and dressing up any Summer outfit! The delicate bobble fringe adds a touch of flair to this statement wrap.
I designed this shawl with Summer in mind. We all love to have an easy repetitive project to work on relaxing outside or for taking with us on road trips. I think you will love the open lace stitch pattern and how fast this shawl works up! And this rectangular wrap can be worn all year round!

I knew I wanted to choose a cotton yarn for this design and when WeCrochet kindly sent me some beautiful CotLin yarn, it was perfect! The blend of cotton and linen in DK weight yarn was a pleasure to use and has wonderful stitch definition. It softened beautifully after a light blocking and I can’t wait to use it again for more designs. I love crocheting with cotton yarn AND it comes in 40 colours!

Notes
- This design has a long starting chain which can be a bit daunting. Placing a stitch marker every 50 chains or so, can be very helpful to keep stitch count on the foundation chain
- The pattern is a 6 st repeat. Chain a multiple of 6 + 3 sts for the foundation chain
- The pattern uses US crochet terms, and you can find UK terms in Abbreviations
- The size of the wrap is easily adjustable. Chain to the length you wish your wrap to be using the multiple given. You can adjust the width by crocheting fewer or more rows of the repeat
- Includes written instructions and a chart. Pattern written in US crochet terms.
- Ch 2 at the beginning of a row counts as 1 dc
- The decorative edging is added after the main body is finished
TIP
In row 3 and row 7 of repeat, you will make a sc in the ch-6 space 2 rows below. Insert your hook down over the ch-4 space from previous row, into the ch-6 space 2 rows below and make a sc. The sc stitch is in red in the chart.
Special Stitches
Double Crochet 2 Together (dc2tog): In indicated space, work (yo, insert hook in space, yo and pull up loop, yo and pull through 2 loops on hook) twice, yo and pull through all 3 loops on hook.
