This crochet lace scarf is made using 8 mini skeins of fingering weight yarn from Yarn Unique. I purchased the set at a yarn show last year and was inspired by the lovely natural shift in color. You can use an advent set or a bundle of mini skeins. You could even make this crochet scarf using scrap yarn from your stash. You will need a total of approx. 570m of fingering weight yarn.

You can use approx. 570m of any fingering weight yarn.
Notes
- The pattern is a 6 st repeat. Chain a multiple of 6 + 3 sts for the foundation chain
- The pattern uses US crochet terms
- The size of the scarf is easily adjustable. Chain to the width you wish your wrap to be using the multiple given.
- You can adjust the length by crocheting fewer or more rows of the repeat
- Includes written instructions and a chart. Pattern written in US crochet terms.
- Ch 2 at the beginning of a row counts as 1 dc
TIP: In Row 3 and Row 7 of the repeat, you will make a sc in the ch-6 space 2 rows below. Insert your hook down over the ch-4 space from previous row, into the ch-6 space 2 rows below and make a sc. The sc stitch is in red in the chart.

Using first color and 3.5mm hook, ch 63
Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook (place marker), sc in next ch, * ch 6, skip next 4 ch, sc in next 2 ch; rep from * across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc here and throughout), dc in next st, * ch 4, skip next ch-6, dc in next 2 sts; rep from * across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 2, dc in next st, * ch 3, sc in ch-6 sp 2 rows below (see tip above), ch 3, dc in next 2 sts; rep from * across, making last dc in beg ch-2, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, * ch 4, skip next [ch 3, sc, ch 3], sc in next 2 sts; rep from * across, making last sc in beg ch-2, turn.
Repeat rows start
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, * ch 6, skip next ch-4, sc in next 2 sts; rep from * across, turn.
Row 6: Ch 2, dc in next st, * ch 4, skip next ch-6, dc in next 2 sts; rep from * across, turn.
Row 7: Ch 2, dc in next st, * ch 3, sc in ch-6 sp 2 rows below, ch 3, dc in next 2 sts; rep from * across, making last dc in beg ch-2, turn.
Row 8: Ch 1, sc in first 2 sts, * ch 4, skip next [ch 3, sc, ch 3], sc in next 2 sts; rep from * across, making last sc in beg ch-2, turn.
Rows 9 – 28: Repeat Rows 5-8. Fasten off yarn.
Rows 29 – 224: Repeat Rows 5-8 changing color after 7 pattern repeats.
Finishing
Weave in all loose ends.
Blocking will open up the lace stitches and improve the drape of your scarf.
Soak your wrap in lukewarm water and gently wring in a towel. Lay project out to finished size and pull gently into shape. Pin in place and leave to dry.
