Materials

  • I used scraps of 4 ply/fingering weight cotton yarn for my flowers, but you can use any yarn weight you wish – just use a matching hook.
  • The yarn I used is Scheepjes Catona yarn to make these flowers.
  • My favourite yarn for making flowers is Scheepjes Cotton 8 yarn which has ALL the colours! With excellent stitch definition, this is perfect for smaller projects like these crochet flowers.

  1. Home sick with Covid and quarantined one more week- your designs are so beautiful I think I just found my new favorite way to pass the time! Great work and excited to try!

  2. Hi I’m currently making your 5 petal 2 layer flower.
After joining the 2nd colour, should there be a “slip 1” before the beginning of the repeat rows for the 5 petals? (Before *[ch 2, 1 dc] ) The only way I could make it work was to add a slip stich. Or have I gone wrong somewhere?
    Thanks in advance.

    1. Hi! I think you are refering to a different flower pattern. The Gerbera flower has 10 petals. Can you let me know which flower you mean? Thank you
